The end of the year is fast approaching, and that can only mean one thing… no, we don’t mean Christmas, but rather Movember, where men sport their finest moustaches, all in the name of charity! Movember aims to raise money for a plethora of men’s health conditions including prostate and testicular cancer and suicide prevention. It also serves as a great opportunity to shine a light on men’s health within the workplace.

Highlighting men’s health
Despite being 2025, unfortunately we are still faced with the reality that men are less likely to say anything and/or go and see a doctor when it comes to their health. We would like to think that this will change in the (very) near future and hope that it does. In the meantime, anything that serves to highlight men’s health in the workplace (and beyond) is much welcomed.

So what does this mean for you as an employer? Anything you feel you can do that would have a positive impact on employees will be beneficial, but particularly when it comes to the arena of male health and well-being. Encouraging conversation, increasing awareness and promoting understanding of health conditions is key… and Movember could be just the conduit to do so.
Turning November into Movember
Transforming the month of November into Movember allows all staff to get involved, raising awareness and money for good causes. Crucially, this event does so in a fun and light-hearted manner, and there are so many ways to get involved too… both within and outwith the workplace.
Whether you choose to grow a moustache, run/walk 60 km in aid of suicide awareness or host your own event, there are many ways to get involved. Whichever option you choose, remember you’re putting men’s health to the front and centre of the agenda in your business.
